Licensing path
In British Columbia, complete the required LLQP course and exams, then apply for an individual life insurance agent licence through the Insurance Council of British Columbia.
Exam eligibility
Before scheduling an LLQP exam, the Insurance Council says you need a Council-approved Harmonized LLQP course, a Canadian Insurance Participant Registry (CIPR) number, and confirmation of successful course completion by the Council.
Provincial notes
The Insurance Council says candidates must complete the exams within one year of the course and apply for a life insurance agent licence within one year of the exams. New life and accident & sickness agents generally require at least 24 months of supervision.

The Life module has 35 questions, including 5 unscored pilot questions, with 75 minutes allotted. Confirm current delivery and registration rules with the Insurance Council.
